Café Le Lignely

Afterward, it's wonderful to relax on the terrace of Hotel Le Lignely in Heyd. Be sure to check in advance if they're open!

The Dragon's Ridge

One of the most beautiful and surprising trails we know is the Dragon's Back.

On the ridge between Heyd and Lignely runs the Col du Rideû, the only officially recognized mountain pass in Belgium. Following this path eastward, you’ll reach the Crown, a high point at 380 meters. Deciduous forests gradually give way to a winding trail with rocky peaks that form the dragon's spine.

The landscape here feels like something out of Tolkien's books. Breathtaking viewpoints, as you walk between moss-covered rocks, with steep cliffs on both sides.

Be careful not to wake the dragon...
